Jess and Alex had the most iconic vintage elopement at the windmills in Palm Springs, California! From their outfits, to the epic vintage car, to their shared In-N-Out fries, this session was a vintage dream!
When talking about these photos, Jess and Alex said that they wanted to feel JOY when they looked back on this time together, adding, “when we look back, we want to feel warmth and one another’s embrace.” So I caught these sweet moments of them hugging and nuzzling up together to remind them of those feelings from this season of their relationship!
To really capture their personality as a couple, I asked about their favorite habits of each others.
Jess told me, “Alex’s favorite habit of mine APPARENTLY is when I assume he’s finished with his food or drink and I dump it out as soon as he walks away even though he was planning on finishing it!”
We captured this memory by sharing some In-N-Out and laughing together over who would get the last fry!
Little things like this may seem silly, but they tell a story about your relationship that words just can’t do justice!
Jess and Alex shared a champagne toast to celebrate this sweet season of love that they’re enjoying with each other.
Photoshoots are more than “getting some photos taken”…
… photos are a great way to stop time in a moment of emotion while capturing an entire season of life by storytelling through props and posing.
The props (vintage car, retro sunglasses, In-N-Out, champagne, etc.) just aid to telling a story about your life and relationships, but the real ~meat~ is the emotion you let out during your session.
If you’re having fun and love holding your partner, it will show and you’ll be able to look back and remember those feelings based on that sweet captured moment.
