Connor did a great job of planning and surprising Biba with his Yonah Mountain Vineyard proposal in North Georgia! Read about the planning, see my hiding spot, and then look through all of the photos from their proposal/engagement session!
By the time that we started talking about photography, Connor already had the ring and knew that he wanted to propose to Biba at a winery during their already-planned weekend trip to North Georgia.
Finding a winery with availability can be tough during wedding season, but Connor called around to see who had a time slot for the day and Yonah Mountain Vineyards was the winner!
Yonah also has multiple wedding ceremony locations that are perfect for a private proposal with an amazing photo backdrop!
I got to Yonah about 30 minutes before Connor and Biba showed up so that I could find my hiding place and make sure to have a clear path to the proposal location Connor and I chose for the best photos.
We agreed on the Kensington vineyard because of the mountain and vineyard background.
I waited in between the rows of grapes while Connor and Biba had a wine flight and then made their way up to THE SPOT!
I always ask the client that I’m communicating with to share their location with me for the day so I can stay hidden and track them without them having to text me the whole time.
When I knew Connor was walking Biba up through the vineyard, I started creeping up onto the hill so I could be ready to get photos of him proposing.
Connor decided to make the proposal a whole engagement session, so we went around various parts of Yonah (read: found some shade) to take more photos.
I love to take a few phone pictures for my couples so they can send them off to friends and family right away.
After we took photos around the vineyard for a bit, we sat down and shared some sweet, refreshing wine and cooled off in the shade.
THEN, I was not aware of this part of the plan, Biba’s parents showed up! They drove all the way from Florida to surprise her and congratulate them!
